Steve Reagan has been photographing weddings and portraits in the Atlanta area for the last 12 years. He has developed a reputation as a photographer who is professional, patient, and trusted to deliver exceptional quality and service. His career began more than 20 years ago in the field of commercial photography. Later, Steve started "Steve Reagan Photography" as a family owned business. His move into wedding and family photography offered him many new challenges. Steve says it best; "Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would be in the wedding and portrait business. I went to school to be an ‘Artistic Commercial Photographer’. Little did I know that some of the most creative and challenging photographs could be created from the look of wonderment of a toddling little boy, or from the glance that a caring father gives his daughter as they are about to walk down the aisle." Weddings, children, and family portraits now account for the overwhelming majority of Steve's time... and he couldn’t be happier. He explains, "This is why I do what I do, and why I love it. It is a passion. This is not something you can get from photographing a still life. The people I work for all have stories to tell, which can be captured beautifully in photography. This is where photography shines like no other medium."

He believes that, through photography, it is possible to capture that brief moment in time when all is right with the world. Whether it is on a wedding day when emotions run high, or in the lazy afternoon sun when two little brothers decide to hold hands while walking through a meadow. Steve says, "When you capture it, the feeling of satisfaction confirms that God has given you a passion and a talent. It makes me feel very rooted in His creation."

Steve received his degree in photographic design from the Fine Arts School at the University of Georgia in 1981. He also studied advanced intaglio printing and Art History in Cortona, Italy during his senior year. He is a member of The Georgia Professional Photographers Association and Professional Photographers of America. As a member of these organizations, he strives to present his photographic services in a manner that reflects the highest level of honesty, integrity, and professionalism. He continues to take classes to hone his skills and keep up with the ever-changing trends in photographic technology. Steve explains, "This is a very exciting time to be in the photography industry. Today I see a more sophisticated bride. She often knows what she wants before she walks into my studio. She's looking for me to bring these ideas to a tangible reality that she will cherish for years to come. Steve notes that today's bride wants traditional shots to capture the important people in her life, and also wants the flexibility to include a mixture of color, black and white, and less traditional poses. All of these options are available through Steve Reagan Photography and have become a hallmark of his business. Steve often reminds his customers that, "The greatest compliment a bride, mother, or family member can give me is that I somehow helped to make their special day even better. I am able to do that by being unobtrusive, by capturing their most precious moments through photography, and by treating everyone with the utmost respect."
